Giving Back!
FREE Author Visit to your school. FREE books for your students.
Lowey’s Giving Back Program brings FREE Author Visits and thousands of her books to Title 1 schools thanks to generous companies who want to give back to their community. Read more…
Here’s how it works:
-
Find a Sponsor
Lowey works with generous companies that want to give back to your school. The sponsor pays for the books, one book for every student at the author visit. As gratitude for the donation, we create a custom bookplate sticker with the sponsor’s logo, and Lowey autographs each sticker before it is applied to the book. Finally, some of the sponsor’s employees or members may attend the author visit and help pass out the donated books, truly enjoying the impact their donation has made.
-
Free Author Visit!
Lowey connects with participating Title 1 school(s) and coordinates her free in-person author visit. Each visit is ~45 minutes long and gets children excited about entrepreneurship and dreaming big! The donated books are distributed at the end of the author visit and photos are taken with the students, Lowey and the sponsor.
Every book received includes a personalizes bookplate sticker so it’s extra special for the kids.

Free Books! Happy Students!
The big winners of Lowey’s Giving Back Program are the students and teachers at the Title One schools! Many of these children have never experienced an author visit before and many don’t own a book before this day.
So many of today’s successful entrepreneurs came from not much so let’s continue to give back. Lowey’s visit and books inspire kids to dream big and believe in their own ideas!
How it started
LOWEY BUNDY SICHOL was on book tour in 2019 for the release of her book series, FROM AN IDEA TO… when she noticed a trend. Most of the schools she visited were in affluent communities and had the resources to bring several authors to their school each year and the budget to purchase books. Realizing that her school talks and books brought tales of inspiration through entrepreneurship, including stories of individuals who came from very little, Lowey set out to do it differently. She wanted to connect with schools in low-income communities and inspire those children.
Lowey understands that many companies want to give back, too, and started to partner with select companies, which would sponsor her author visits. This meant donating her books (one book for every student) while she donated her author visit. Employees of the sponsored company also attended the author visit, helped hand out books to the kids, and saw immediately the impact of their donation.
What happened next was magical. Teachers and students had a once-in-a-lifetime author experience that left children inspired to dream big and go home with their own autographed book (for many of them, it was the first book they had ever owned).
Since 2019, Lowey and her sponsors have successfully donated over 5,000 books and dozens of free author visits to Title 1 schools. But we’re just getting started.
Be part of this movement to that brings entrepreneurship education, books, and author visits to everyone!
