IN-PERSON AUTHOR VISITS
Grades 3,4,5: Think Big Ideas!
This interactive in-person assembly is Lowey’s signature talk. During our 50 minutes together, kids learn how Disney, Nike, Google, and LEGO came to be, why entrepreneurship is important, and how to turn an idea into something that can change the world. Near the end, Lowey explains the important steps to writing a nonfiction book, what books are coming next, and holds Q&A for the kids and teachers. Students walk away excited, inspired, and believing in their own ideas.
All pre-ordered books will be signed and personalized with the students’ name.
VIRTUAL AUTHOR VISITS

Cookies Cookies Cookies!
This 30-minute Virtual Author Visit is a perfect introduction to entrepreneurship for younger grades. During our time together, Lowey introduces herself then reads her picture book Cookie Queen: How One Girl Started Tate’s Bake Shop. This is the inspiring true story of Kathleen King, an 11-year old girl who set out to create and sell the perfect chocolate chip cookie. There’s time for Q&A at the end and an inside peek into how to write a picture book. For an additional cost, we can arrange to have Tate’s Cookies sent to your class for all to enjoy!
