Author Visits
Lowey brings entrepreneurship to your school at a level kids understand and love. Lowey offers two in-person author visits, for grades K-2 and 3-5. She has spoken to hundreds of schools and over 50,000 students across the United States. Educators have called her visits “Engaging!”, “Amazing!”, “Inspiring!” and “Exciting!”
From an Idea to...
IN PERSON (Grades 3-5)
This interactive assembly shows kids how Disney, Nike, Google, and LEGO came to be, why entrepreneurship is important, and what makes a great idea. Lowey also explains the steps to writing a nonfiction book. Students walk away excited, inspired, and believing in their own ideas.
Cookie Queen
IN PERSON (Grades K-2)
A perfect introduction to entrepreneurship for younger grades. Lowey shares the inspiring true story of Kathleen King, an 11-year old girl who set out to create and sell the perfect chocolate chip cookie and reads Cookie Queen. There’s time for Q&A at the end, including an inside peek into how to write a picture book.

Lowey’s Giving Back program brings FREE Author Visits and her books to Title 1 schools thanks to generous companies who want to give back to their community.

What grades are best for your author visit?
Lowey offers two author visits, one for grades K-2 and one for grades 3-5.
How much does your in-person author visit cost?
Please contact Lowey to discuss rates as they vary depending on location, travel, and number of visits.
Do you offer virtual author visits?
Yes. Lowey’s virtual author visits are modified versions of her in-person author visit and last 20-25 minutes, with time for Q&A at the end. Perfect for 1-2 classrooms. Cost $75.
What are your tech needs?
For in-person author visits, Lowey connects a Mac laptop to a projector/ screen with audio (HDMI is perfect). Plus, we request a microphone if it’s a large group.
All virtual author visits take place on Zoom or Google Meet.
Can my students order your books? And will Lowey sign them?
Yes, Lowey personalizes every book that is purchased prior to her author visits. She can help coordinate book sales either through an independent book seller near you or through a bookstore near her in Illinois. All post-visit book sales must go through the bookstore near her in Illinois.

Do you give Keynote presentations or speak to adults?
Yes. Lowey has spoken at conferences, events, and luncheons. She can speak to a wide range of topics ranging from writing children’s books to inspiring entrepreneurship to giving back. Please contact Lowey to discuss.
